Once voted one of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia’s “Top 30 Under 30”,

media maven Ashleigh Demi continues to shine in the industry.

Growing up in the suburbs of Maryland, “Ashleigh Demi” had a passion for media, entertainment and television. Young Ash studied and lived on campus at Howard University during a summer semester, while only in high school.

After earning her diploma, Ashley attended Cheyney University of Pennsylvania.  At Cheyney, Ashley ran for Miss Cheyney University, worked with student government, and pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.   After graduating from Cheyney University with a Bachelor's degree, Ashley began her journalistic career at the Washington Post as a features reporter while initially hired as a copy aide.  When she saw her first byline, "Ashley D. Diggs"  printed on top of an article that she had written in the nationally recognized newspaper, Ashley was convinced that she would have a bright future.

In 2007, Ashley began publishing articles for the Washington Post, AFRO-American Newspapers, and Mustard Seed magazine, to name a few.  After she fell in love with her name being printed, she set out to have her face printed in publications as well.  With some experience with editorial modeling in her teenage years, Ashley began doing countless photo shoots, and was later published in hair magazines, bridal, and clothing ads.  Soon after, Ashley made appearances on television shows like the  Emmy award-winning drama "House of Cards" and the  HBO Series "Veep".  In addition,  she appeared  in  Bobby Valentino's “Money Over Here” and Black Alley’s “Club 27” music videos.  Subsequently, Ashley took her career to behind-the-scenes television by writing and producing at WTTG/FOX 5 News in Washington, D.C.

In 2012, Ashley took her career to radio.  She landed her first "on-air" job at CBS Radio’s WNEW 99.1 as the weekend entertainment reporter.  After spending time at WNEW 99.1 FM, yet before that station was sold, Ashley visited the sister station, WPGC 95.5, down the hall.  At that time, there were no "on-air" positions available, so Ashley took the "foot-in-the door" job and hung banners with the WPGC street team.  After a few months, the journalist, broadcaster and reporter became professionally known as “Ashleigh Demi”, and broadcasted  the "Entertainment Rundown" live on the weekends at WPGC 95.5.   Later, Ashleigh Demi began conducting interviews on WPGC’s online segment, PGC-TV.   Not only did Ashley work at WPGC, but  she hosted a weekly podcast alongside  radio host & actor Antonio "The Cuban Cigar Smoka" Lambertis and former Washington Redskins Fred Smoot on

Today, Ashleigh Demi  produces the #1 night show in Washington, D.C. starring Tony Redz a.k.a Mr. 24/7 on WPGC 95.5, provides entertainment commentary on TV One's "News One Now" with Roland Martin, covers red carpets, hosts charity events, stays involved in her sorority, and gives back to her community...just to name a few!
